Many times this week I actually went to

The backyard...I warned you this could happen. I spent a lot of time working around a patio area under my pergola, and also freshened up and planted a new shrub out front.

Here is the loop of my yard.

This weekend I trimmed everything up nicely and got my camera. Here is not actually the finished project but a good sense of how my yard looks this spring. I love my time in the yard. Notice in the loop player the Irises. They once were cared for by someone our family knows as Paw Paw. Actually he had a fatal heart attack thinning out his Irises one year. I have moved them here from our original home in Springfield. They are doing very well in a part sun part shade location. Tom Jr is attempting to grow some of Paw Paw's Irises in Georgia. I'm not too sure they like the sandy soil and higher water table. We shall see. Eventually what will probably happen is a container garden in GA and AZ with irises in them, as I don't think Becky is going to have any better luck in the hot dry desert of AZ either.

Speaking of Becky, the clump of daffodils in the picture are for her, and the smaller but very pretty single daffodil, yep that one is for my sweet grandbaby girl Elia.

Special memories sit in the front of the patio area. A boy with a bird, a girl with a kitten, and a raccoon that has moved everywhere I have moved since Loraine church. My kids need to actually remind me if they think the raccoon actually lived in Oakwood first. I am not sure on that one but it did live at Loraine...well you know, beautify our property there.

You aren't finished? That looks about as finished as it could possibly be! Just beautiful!

I drove by your house this week and thought how nice the front garden looks. I haven't even had time to plant some annuals yet, but am ready to get more color in the garden. Some of the seeds that Raina planted have started to come up and they will provide color all summer! YEH! We too enjoy the garden and being out doors. I have to go comment on the solid gold dance!

Oh my gosh!! It is beautiful. And aren't you getting quite technically savvy with "the loop".

Beautiful flowers! I wish I had some of your talent. That is a neat loop player. How did you get that on your blog? You are always so up to date on the latest tech stuff for the blogs.

Nice yard!
I finally found some time to check out the eagles and am a little confused as to whether or not they hatched? See some footage of hatchings then stuff on the other site about them not hatching. I did get an email about a month ago with a link to the site and watched one eagle sit for a while at work until I felt bad for procrastinating.
Saw they had a few million visitors to their site, amazing. I used to live in BC and miss it more than any other place.
So there you go. My place of origin - Canada. But now in US with my American hubby and soon Guatemalan daughter.

:)

Hi Glo,
Don here.....
Your garden is way cool! It's so dang hot here in Florida during the summer. I'm thinking of getting one of those drip watering systems because I don't particularly like spending time outdoors in the heat. They're pretty easy to install and it'll keep my plants from blowing away in a dry wind. My favorite is orchids. I have about 10 varities which I cluster in an area where the water sprinkler will hit them 2 or 3 times a week. I just had one open up which I bought last year and pruned back when the flowers died. It's a cool thing when the shoot comes out and they start to flower about 6 weeks later. I'll take a pic and put it on my blog when it opens up fully.
I read that you were not doing too well on Memorial Day and hope you're back in the pink by now.
